Keeping a person in control of the step that actually matters, even when the rest of the process runs on its own. Today's example: my email manager drafts every reply in my voice, but nothing goes out until I've reviewed and approved it myself.

Software that decides what to do next and acts, not just one that answers when asked. Today's example: my email manager can sort my inbox and draft replies on its own every morning, but sending is never its call - that always comes back to me.
